Golden Pass Products, LLC (GPP) - FE Dkt. No. 12-156-LNG

The Office of Fossil Energy gives notice of receipt of an application filed on October 26, 2012, by Golden Pass Products LLC (GPP) requesting long-term authorization to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Golden Pass LNG Terminal, located near Sabine Pass, Texas, to any country with which the United States does not have a tree trade agreement requiring national treatment for trade in natural gas and LNG that has, or in the future develops, the capacity to import LNG via ocean-going carrier, and with which trade is not prohibited by U.S. law or policy.  GPP seeks to export 15.6 million metric tons per year of LNG (approximately 740 billion cubic feet per year of natural gas equivalent) over a 25-year period commencing on the earlier of the date of first export or seven years from the date the requested authorization is granted.  GPP is requesting this authorization both on its own behalf and as agent for other parties who themselves hold title to the LNG at the time of export.
