FE DOCKET NO. 95-66-NG

ORDER AMENDING BLANKET AUTHORIZATION

TO IMPORT NATURAL GAS

DOE/FE ORDER NO. 1084-A

On September 21, 1995, the Department of Energy (DOE) granted blanket authorization to Valero Industrial Gas, L.P., (Valero) in DOE/FE Order No. 1084 (Order 1084) (1 FE ¶ 71,160) to import and export up to a combined total of 300 Bcf of natural gas from and to Mexico over a two-year term, beginning on first import or export delivery after October 22, 1995. Deliveries of natural gas began on October 23, 1995.

On September 22, 1997, Valero filed an application to amend Order 1084 to reflect the name change from Valero Industrial Gas, L.P. to PG&E Texas Industrial Energy, L.P. The name change, effective August 8, 1997, was the result of a business transaction in which PG&E Corporation acquired the natural gas business of Valero Energy Corporation, the indirect corporate parent of Valero.

Accordingly, pursuant to section 3 of the Natural Gas Act, Order 1084 is amended to substitute PG&E Industrial Energy, L.P. as the importer and exporter of natural gas. All terms and conditions in Order 1084 remain in full force and effect.

Issued in Washington, D.C. on September 30, 1997.
