MEGAN-RACINE ASSOCIATES, INC.

On December 20, 1990, the Department of Energy (DOE) granted authorization to Megan-Racine Associates, Inc. (Megan-Racine) in DOE/FE Order No. 461 (Order 461) (1 FE ¶ 70,394) to import up to 11,700 Mcf per day of natural gas from Canada, over a 20-year term to fuel its 49 MW cogeneration facility in Canton, New York. Deliveries of natural gas began on May 20, 1991.
On November 10, 1998, Megan-Racine requested that the authority granted in Order 461 be vacated. The purchase agreement with TransCanada PipeLines, Ltd. under which Megan -Racine imported the gas, no longer exists and the Canton cogeneration facility is currently being dismantled.
Accordingly, pursuant to section 3 of the Natural Gas Act, the authorization to import natural gas granted to Megan-Racine in Order 461 is hereby vacated.
