ORDER VACATING LONG-TERM AUTHORIZATION

TO IMPORT NATURAL GAS FROM CANADA

Great Falls Gas Company (GFGC) is currently authorized in DOE/FE Opinion and Order No. 704 to import up to 5,000 Mcf of natural gas per day from Canada on a firm basis and an additional 5,000 Mcf of natural gas on an interruptible basis through October 31, 2007 (1 FE ¶ 70,661 issued November 10, 1992). In a letter filed January 12, 1998, GFGC requested that the Department of Energy discontinue its authorization.

Accordingly, pursuant to section 3 of the Natural Gas Act, the authorization to import natural gas granted in DOE/FE Opinion and Order No. 704 is hereby vacated.
